Our Service

Planning and installing a new garden or roof terrace, whatever size, should be an enjoyable and trouble free experience. We have based our process on nearly twenty years of designing, managing and installing gardens and honed this to a fine art.

The design process aims to listen to the client’s needs and to convey design ideas in an easy to interpret fashion, usually with the aid of detailed 3D models.

Installation is fast and efficient, without sacrificing quality of workmanship. Fixed price contracts based upon itemised Cost Estimates ensure no surprises at the end of the build and allow clients to enjoy their new garden immediately.

1. Initial Consultation

Paul will visit you to discuss your garden, show his portfolio and take a client brief. Compile any images of what you would like or admire for this meeting as these are also useful.

2. Design Proposal

Based upon this visit we prepare a design contract, this confirms your all requirements for the garden and details a fixed price for the design. This covers a site survey, preparation of sketches and working drawings.

3. Survey and Design

Following a detailed survey and site analysis of the garden, Paul will prepare sketches, concept sheets and a free 3d model. These will help you understand the new layout that is proposed. Taking into account your comments, a Layout Drawing is produced.

Design includes:

– Survey and Site analysis
– Coloured CAD produced Concept Layout
– Sketched projections and perspective
– Animated 3d model and garden walk through

Drawings are provided as hard copies and as Pdf files. The animation is supplied as a Video file and with a link to download the viewer, to navigate the original file.

4. Design and Build

Paul Dracott garden designs works closely with their sister company The Living Room to provide a design and build service. Paul will write specifications, Bills of quantities and work with The Living Room to provide you with a fixed priced garden build contract.

During the build Paul will liaise and manage all aspects of the project to ensure your garden build is smooth and seamless.

5. Maintenance

Once the hard landscape is complete Paul can prepare easy to understand maintenance guidelines to ease you gently into caring for your new garden.

If you travel regularly or are just too busy to look after your garden, Paul can write a maintenance specification which is then carried out weekly, fortnightly or monthly by the Living Room’s RHS trained staff.
